                                                                                   NOTICE OF 2025/2026 ADMISSION

1.0 National Diploma in Nautical Science and Marine Engineering
Entry requirements:
a) Credit passes in five (5) O’Level subjects, namely; English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other two Science subjects which may include Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Geography,Computer Science and technical drawing.
b) Age is 16 and 22 years
c) Candidates must be physically and medically fit, and
d) Must have sat for the 2025 UTME and scored a minimum of 100.

If you meet the above – stated entry requirements but you did not choose Charkin Maritime Academy when you registered for JAMB please visit the nearest JAMB accredited CBT Centre and change to Charkin Maritime Academy as your institution of first choice and change programme to Nautical Science or Marine Engineering

2.0 Certificate of Competency Preparatory Classes for Deck Officers and Marine
Engineers.
Entry requirements:
a) National Diploma in Nautical Science or Marine Engineering with a minimum of 18 months sea service, or
b) HND in Nautical Science or Marine Engineering / B.sc in Nautical Science or Marine Engineering; B. Eng or B. Tech in Marine Engineering with a minimum sea service of 12 months, or
c) Associate Certificate in Nautical Science or Marine Engineering with a minimum of 36 months sea service.
d) Candidates must have obtained ‘Eligibility from the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).
e) Candidates must be physically and medically fit

3.0 Associate Certificate in Nautical Science and Marine Engineering
Entry requirements:
a) Credit passes in five (5) O’Level subjects, namely; English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other two Science subjects which may include Chemistry, Biology, Agric Science, Geography, Computer Science and technical drawing.
b) Candidates must be physically and medically fit, and
c) No age limitation
d) No JAMB required.
